First Generation Facility

As co-founders, Mr. Jiang and Mr. Yao started as two Chinese farmers providing botanical raw materials and started to build first generation manufacturing facility.

1995

Second Generation Facility

Guilin Layn Corp. is officially established. Larger facility broadens product portfolio to include 80+ botanical extracts.

Guilin Layn Corp. is officially established. Larger facility broadens product portfolio to include 80+ botanical extracts.

Layn Goes Public on Shenzhen Stock Exchange

Layn becomes first company to go public in China’s botanical extract industry, resulting in sufficient working capital for the continued investment in world-class manufacturing and technologies.

2008 Layn initiates Stevia Sustainability Agricultural Program

Third Generation Facility

Facility upgrades include 16 fully automated GMP extraction lines, increased capacity and ability to focus on plant-based sweeteners.

2010

2011 Layn receives FDA GRAS Affirmation for both Monk Fruit and Stevia extract

Layn USA Established

Layn opens first overseas subsidiary company in Newport Beach, California, catering to North American customer needs. Year-end saw further expansion into the LATAM market.

2011

2014 Layn begins experimenting with dual harvests for both Stevia and Monk Fruit, anticipating sustainable dual harvests by 2020

2015 After 10 years of development, Layn increases Mogroside-V content in raw Monk Fruit from 0.3% to 0.5%

Layn USA Established

European sales division established, Layn Europe Srl., located in Savona, Italy, to keep up with the growing global demand.

2016

Fourth Generation Facility & Global Innovation Center

Layn opens the doors to fourth-generation, state-of-the-art facility with the world’s largest Stevia and Monk Fruit extract capacity. In the same year, Layn opens Global Innovation Center in Shanghai, China, to support global reformulation needs.

2018 Layn establishes sales, marketing, and technical support in Latin America

2019 TruGro® by Layn established to provide exclusive functional botanical ingredient solutions for pet and animal markets
